India, April 8 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday informed that yesterday's low pressure area over central parts of the South Bay of Bengal (BoB) moved northwestwards. It currently lay as a well-marked low pressure area over south-west and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal.
As per IMD, the associated cyclonic circulation also extends up to middle tropospheric levels.
IMD's Forecast
In its latest weather forecast, IMD said It is likely to move north-northwestwards over west-central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours, maintaining its intensity of a well-marked low-pressure area.
