A low pressure area has formed over Southwest Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
The system, which developed early this morning at around 5:30 am, is expected to intensify further within the next 24 hours and move in a west-northwestward direction.
