Bhubaneswar, Aug. 24 -- The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar today issued heavy rainfall alert for several parts of Odisha. Orange warning has been issued for two districts-Sundergarh and Keonjhar.

Duty officer Laxmikant Giri informed that several parts of Odisha received good amount of rainfall in the past 24 hours under the impact of a cyclonic circulation.

"The cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and Odisha, West Bengal coast is likely to develop into a low pressure area today. It will trigger heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours," said Giri.
