Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- Bhubaneswar: In view of the impending Cyclone 'Yaas', the Odisha government on Monday announced relaxation in lockdown in 10 districts for two days.

The deep depression over east-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm and is likely to hit the Odisha-West Bengal coast on May 26 noon.

"To allow people more time to obtain essential items from market during lockdown before the impending cyclone reaches the coast of Odisha, lockdown restrictions have been relaxed in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Puri, Jajpur, Cuttack and Khordha districts," read the order issued by the office of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).
