In a tragic incident, three people, including a woman, were killed after being struck by lightning while working in agricultural fields near Bistunuguda village under Sadar block of Rayagada district on Friday.
Meanwhile, two other persons havebeen left battling for their livesafter theysustained critical injuries in the incident.
According to sources, the victims were engaged in farm work on Friday when sudden thunderstorms struck the region. Without enough time to take shelter, they were hit by lightning on the spot.
