Bhubaneswar, Dec. 7 -- In a major step towards strengthening wildlife protection, AI-powered cameras have been installed in the Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary under the Nilagiri range. Forest authorities have introduced the technology to ensure that any poacher attempting to enter the sanctuary or damage the cameras will be immediately detected.
According to the Ranger, thirty AI cameras have been set up in the first phase of implementation. These advanced devices are capable of capturing video footage within a one-kilometre radius, significantly enhancing surveillance across vulnerable zones inside the sanctuary. The system is designed to promptly alert authorities if suspicious movement or tampering is detected.
