Bhubaneswar, Dec. 22 -- The investigation into the reported murder of a Class IX student at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has entered a critical phase on Monday, with police formally seeking a technical opinion from a medical board regarding the conduct and assessment of doctors who treated the deceased at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
Sources reported that a detailed report concerning the medical treatment provided to the student, along with the post-mortem findings, has been forwarded to the medical board for expert evaluation.
The board has been asked to examine whether the clinical records submitted by the treating doctors align with the post-mortem report and accepted medical protocols.
