Bhubaneswar, Dec. 24 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought an Action Taken Report (ATR) in connection with the alleged murder of a student studying at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar.

The rights panel has directed the Vice-Chancellor of KIIT and the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, to submit detailed reports within two weeks.

The NHRC has brought the incident under its investigation ambit and has also asked for information on the action taken so far in the matter.
