Bhubaneswar, Feb. 18 -- A day after a third-year B.Tech international student from Nepal allegedly took her own life at KIIT University in Bhubaneswar, a grave aftermath appears to be brewing. Family members of the deceased have suggested that the entire chain of events, from unrest at the campus to the university's manner of handling it, has the potential to disrupt diplomatic relations between India and Nepal.
In an interaction with media persons, a relative of the deceased girl admitted that this issue is hampering India-Nepal relations. "This matter is causing severe damage to India-Nepal relations. It is ruining India's reputation on the global stage and will impact students who wish to come and study here," added the relative.
