Bhubaneswar, Feb. 22 -- In a development to the sexual assault allegation involving a Class 7 student of a private English medium school in Odisha's Kendrapara district, police have arrested five people in connection with the case.

The arrests include one female teacher, three male teachers, and a peon.

Rajkanika police confirmed that the arrests were made following the registration of a case under the POCSO Act. The individuals are currently being interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation. Reports indicate that the accused are members of the school staff.
