Bhubaneswar, Dec. 19 -- A newly purchased SUV was gutted in a fire outside a residential house in the Gualsingh area under Kendrapara Sadar police station limits on Thursday night, reducing the vehicle to ashes and triggering concern among local residents.

The vehicle reportedly belongs to local BJP leader Geetanjali Sethi. Apart from the four-wheeler, parts of the house were also damaged in the incident, with household furniture and window panes affected by the flames. The exact extent of the damage to the property is yet to be officially assessed.
