Bhubaneswar, Feb. 12 -- In a dramatic development in the high-profile Kanpur Lamborghini crash case that left several people critically injured, a local court on Thursday granted bail to Shivam Mishra, the prime accused in the incident, just hours after his arrest, on a personal bond of Rs 20,000.

The case stems from a high-speed crash on VIP Road near Gwaltoli in Kanpur, where a luxury Lamborghini Revuelto allegedly driven by Mishra rammed into pedestrians and other vehicles, injuring multiple people earlier this week.

Earlier, Shivam, the 26-year-old son of a prominent tobacco businessman (tobacco baron KK Mishra), tried to escape after claiming that it was his driver who was driving the vehicle during the incident.
