Bhubaneswar, Dec. 12 -- Odisha continues to reel under severe cold conditions, with interior pockets of Kandhamal district witnessing a sharp and sustained drop in temperatures. The prolonged cold wave has disrupted normal life, particularly in Daringbadi, often referred to as the Kashmir of Odisha.
Sub-zero-like conditions in the region have led to ground frost in several areas, adding to the chill and discomfort for residents.
The cold wave shows no signs of abating. On Thursday, G. Udayagiri recorded the lowest temperature of the season at 4 degrees Celsius. Phulbani registered a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius, while Daringbadi recorded 7 degrees Celsius.
