Thunderstorms with lightning and rain accompanied by gusty winds are expected today in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, informed sources from the IMD's Bhubaneswar Regional office.
As per the Nowcast Warning issued by the met office, "Severe Thunderstorm with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 60 - 70 kmph, lightning, moderate to intense spell of rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Koraput, Cuttack, Khordha, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Balasore and Ganjam within the next couple of hours."
