Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- After facing hardship for years, Jitendra Suna, a resident of Kalahandi district in Odisha, is running for the post of president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) polls.

In an exclusive interview to OTV, Suna spoke about his struggle and how he was inspired to become a part of JNU.

In the year 2008-09, Suna came to Delhi after completing Plus-II and started working as a helper with Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL).

"I started working as a helper at the gas company for a salary of Rs 3,500 per month," said Suna.

Suna says that in 2012 after knowing about Baba Saheb Ambedkar and his teachings, he was inspired and decided to be a historian.
