The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, cleared five proposals, including the concession agreement to be signed between the Odisha government and JSW Utkal Steel Limited for the development of a captive jetty at Jatadhar Muhan in Jagatsinghpur.
This strategic move is aimed at supporting JSW's upcoming integrated steel plant and captive power plant in the region.
The proposed all-weather, multi-cargo greenfield jetty received in-principle approval in 2018, following the High-Level Clearance Authority's nod to the steel plant project in 2017.
