Bhubaneswar, Jan. 13 -- Amid rising concerns over jaundice cases in schools, the Odisha government has decided on Tuesday to place all District Education Officers (DEOs) in the State on high alert. The move aims to prevent the alleged spread of the infectious disease and ensure swift intervention of the government, wherever necessary.
The School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Nityananda Gond said the possibility of jaundice spreading in school campuses is a serious concern. He assured that the State government is prepared to take all necessary steps to control the situation and will not hesitate to seek support from the Health Department if needed.
