Several residents of Naharana area in Jagatsinghpur district have alleged that they were cheated of lakhs of rupees through a mobile application called HUGE App. According to the complainants, the app operated smoothly for nearly eight months, offering attractive returns and promotional gifts to gain the confidence of users.
Encouraged by initial profits, many villagers, including youths and women, invested their hard-earned money, hoping to earn higher returns. Some women even deposited funds received from their self-help groups into the app.
