Bhubaneswar, Feb. 22 -- An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer was accused of raping a woman at government quarters in the Satsang Vihar area of Bhubaneswar.

The allegation also includes claims that the act was recorded and that the accused threatened to circulate the video.

Following a complaint lodged by the victim, Saheed Nagar police registered a case and launched an investigation.

The victim's statement was recorded after her medical examination, and police subsequently inspected the quarters of the accused IRS officer. At the time of reporting, the officer had not been questioned.

According to reports, the victim had initially accompanied the accused's sister-in-law to his residence when his wife was unwell.
