Bhubaneswar, Sept. 14 -- India is the largest democracy in the world. It became a Republic country on January 26, 1950, after it adopted a constitution. The country has followed the rules and regulations of democracy as decided in the constitution and even today continues to follow them.
For centuries India has been home to different communities who come from different religions, creeds, and cast. Like a true democratic nation though, India offers equal rights to all its citizens.
