Internal unrest within the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) appears to be escalating, as a group of supporters of Corporator Amresh Jena staged a protest outside the residence of senior party leader Sanjay Das Burma late on Monday night.
According to sources, over a hundred supporters of Jena gathered outside Das Burma's house in Kharavel Nagar, raising slogans and strong objections.
The protest was reportedly sparked by the exclusion of Jena's name from the newly announced list of State Council members. Agitated supporters openly alleged that Sanjay Das Burma was behind sucha move.
