Bhubaneswar, Jan. 24 -- A woman from Bihar's Patna was rescued from a red-light area in West Bengal after spending nearly eight months in captivity, highlighting the growing dangers of online romance and human trafficking.
According to police officials, the woman had left her husband and home in Patna after developing a relationship with a man she met on social media. Trusting the man's promises, she travelled out of state, believing she was starting a new life.
