Bhubaneswar, Dec. 6 -- In a firm move to protect passengers from soaring airfares during ongoing disruptions, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has announced decisive regulatory action to curb opportunistic pricing by airlines. The Ministry has invoked its statutory powers to ensure that airfares across all affected routes remain fair, reasonable, and passenger-friendly.

Taking serious note of complaints regarding unusually high ticket prices, the Ministry has issued an official directive requiring airlines to follow the newly prescribed fare caps without exception. These limits will stay in place until the situation stabilises completely.
