Amid the summer rush, Indian Railways has cancelled or diverted over 300 train trips across several zones between June 1 and 2 due to planned maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. The widespread traffic blocks have impacted both suburban and long-distance trains, leaving passengers across the country grappling with sudden changes to their travel schedules.
According to reports from ETV Bharat, Western Railway has enforced a 36-hour block starting 1 PM on June 1, resulting in the cancellation of 162 train trips, 73 on Saturday and 89 on Sunday.
