India, March 23 -- India will host the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 in September, marking a major milestone for women's cricket. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed this news following its apex council meeting in Kolkata on March 22, as stated in a report from Sports Tak.
It also added that Visakhapatnam is set to host the opening match and ceremony, with four other venues, including Mullanpur (Punjab), Indore, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati, having been shortlisted for the tournament, and the ICC expected to finalise the schedule soon.
