Bhubaneswar, Jan. 27 -- India on Monday strongly countered Pakistan at the United Nations, rejecting what it called a "false and self-serving" narrative over New Delhi's retaliatory action under Operation Sindoor and asserting that Islamabad has "no locus standi" to comment on India's internal matters, particularly Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking during a UN Security Council Open Debate, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, said the Pakistani representative had a "single-point agenda" to malign India.
