Bhubaneswar, Jan. 17 -- As many as 24.82 crore Indians moved out of multidimensional poverty in 9 years. A NITI Aayog report claims that India's poverty ratio has dropped from 29.17% in 2013-14 to 11.28% in the previous financial year. The NITI Aayog's National Multidimensional Poverty Index is not just based on per capita income; but follows globally defined sustainable development goals like Access to health care, education, sanitation, etc called multidimensional poverty indicators. The data used for the study was based on National Family Health Survey of India over the last nine years.
