Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued an orange warning for thunderstorm with lightning in several districts of Odisha. Several parts of the state may also experience gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and hail in the next two days.

In view of the forecast, people have been advised to keep a watch on weather and take safe shelter during thunderstorm activity to protect from lightning and follow necessary traffic advisories in urban areas. The farmers have been advised to use hail nets to protect vegetables and crops.

Meanwhile, there will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.
