Bhadrak, Sept. 17 -- A lady Inspector In-Charge(IIC) was transferred on charges of showing misbehavior and executing lathi charge on a mob in Puruna Bazaar area of Bhadrak last night.
As per reports, Puruna Bazaar police station IIC Pragyan Mohanty has been transferred to district police headquarters while Nayakanadihi IIC, Ratikanta Giri, has been posted as the new IIC in place of Mohanty.
According to sources, Mohanty entered a local cloth store and misbehaved with owner of the shop over some misunderstanding related to shopping items. In a fit of rage, the IIC reportedly threw several items out of the shop and also manhandled the owner.
