India, Feb. 1 -- The Odisha government on Friday appointed senior IAS officer Satyabrata Rout as the secretary of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. A 2013-batch IAS officer, Rout was serving as an Additional Secretary in the Works Department.

"Satyabrata Rout, IAS, Additional Secretary to Works Department, is appointed as Secretary, Odisha Legislative Assembly," a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department read.
