In a distressing reminder of the dangers of overcrowded travel, a shocking incident from an Indian train has gone viral, not just for the woman's plight, but for the inaction of those around her.
The video, shared on YouTube by user @anurvns, shows a woman trapped in a suffocating sea of passengers inside an overcrowded coach. Struggling to draw breath, she desperately washes her face in an attempt to ease her breathing while surrounded by a tightly packed crowd.
Equally disturbing is what's happening outside the train, several people on the platform look on, some even laughing and mocking her condition. Not a single hand reach...
