India, Feb. 11 -- Crocodiles have been increasingly infesting the rivers and ponds in the Chandbali block of Bhadrak district in Odisha. The Baitarani, Salindi, Mantei, and Chandbali rivers, along with over 15 tributary rivers, are now areas heavily populated by crocodiles.
There have been several incidents where human-crocodile conflicts could have led to fatal outcomes, reportedly. Despite this, the Forest Department has only been putting up warning signs, leaving the situation unaddressed, as per the claims of the villagers.
