Bhubaneswar, Dec. 13 -- In a big breakthrough, Chhattisgarh Police have achieved a major success in their ongoing anti-Maoist operations along the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. The breakthrough came during a combing operation conducted in the forested area near Ambi village under Indagaon police station limits in Gariaband district, close to Nuapada district of Odisha.

During the operation, security personnel recovered a large cache of materials allegedly hidden by Maoists in the forest. The seized items included Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), detonators, firearms, wires, batteries and medicines, indicating preparations for possible subversive activities in the region.
