Residents of Odisha are likely to witness a rise in temperatures from April 20 as the State's respite from extreme heat draws to an end, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar forecasted on Thursday.
Currently, the region benefits from cooler temperatures due to the seasonalNor'westers (Kalbaisakhi in local parlance) are keeping the mercury below 40degC. However, meteorologists predict that this cooling influence will diminish within three days, resulting in a noticeable increase in the heat levels.
