BHUBANESWAR, Nov. 15 -- After a relaxation of three months, Odisha government will reintroduce stricter enforcement of traffic rules under the revised Motor Vehicles Act from December 1.

Odisha Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Friday informed that it is the responsibility of the State government to ensure safety of commuters as well as enforce traffic rules in the larger interests of the people.

"We are going to strictly enforce the MV Act from December 1, 2019," said Behera.

Behera further stated that revised fines would be collected as per the provisions of the Act.
