The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted intense rainfall across Odisha till July 16, with the state likely to experience widespread showers over the next few days. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, more than half of Odisha is expected to witness significant rainfall activity, accompanied by gusty winds.
In view of the heavy rainfall prediction, the IMD has issued Yellow Alerts for multiple districts, urging residents and local administrations to stay prepared for possible waterlogging, low visibility, and minor disruption to daily life.
