Bhubaneswar, Dec. 4 -- A young man climbed an under construction electric tower near Judia Ghati under the jurisdiction of Keonjhar Town Police Station on Thursday, reportedly after being upset that his girlfriend had stopped communicating with him.

The incident prompted the immediate response of local police and the Fire Services, who spent nearly three hours negotiating with the youth to ensure his safe descent.

Officials confirmed that the situation was brought under control without any injuries, and the youth was safely brought down from the tower.
