JEYPORE, Dec. 7 -- Police on Friday arrested the husband of headmistress of Phampuni Upgraded Upper Primary Sevashram School in Koraput district on the charges of raping and impregnating a Class VII girl student.
The accused, Rajendra Rath has been arrested and produced before court, Jeypore sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Varun Guntupalli said at a presser yesterday.
According to Guntupalli, the accused had been frequently staying at the Sevashram and developed physical relations with the girl during that period.
