India, March 14 -- The Odisha government has plans to construct a Greater Ring Road network to strengthen road connectivity in the State. Accordingly, a total of 564 kilometres of state-of-the-art roads are to be constructed, official sources said on Friday.
Details of the Greater Ring Road network
The ambitious projects include construction of a 287 Km road from Berhampur to Jeypore with an estimated cost of Rs 9,000 Crore, upgradation of the remaining 101 Km 2-lane road from Jeypore to Rourkela to 4-lane road with an estimated cost of Rs 2,500 Crore, and upgradation of the remaining 176 Km road between Rourkela and Jaleswar to 4-lane road with an estimated cost of Rs 2,200 Crore.
