The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that banks nationwide will remain closed on 15 days in September 2025. These holidays are scheduled under the Negotiable Instruments Act, along with planned RTGS breaks, and various national and regional festivals.

The September holiday calendar includes major festivals like Durga Puja, Onam, and Milad un-Nabi, in addition to routine closures - all Sundays, the second Saturday, and the fourth Saturday will remain non-working days for bank branches.
