The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the formation of a fresh low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal by tomorrow evening. The developing system is expected to deepen monsoon activity and sustain heavy showers across the state through September 3, according to official forecasts released on Monday.
