Bhubaneswar, Dec. 8 -- Severe cold conditions have intensified across the mining region of Koida in Sundargarh, where temperatures have been steadily falling for the past week. Night-time readings have dipped below eight degrees Celsius, causing discomfort among residents and disrupting routine activities in several areas of Koida block, including Tensa, Zero Point and Kalta.

According to local reports, temperatures remained consistently low for seven consecutive days, with recorded readings below the 8degC mark.
