Bhubaneswar, March 19 -- A day after the ruling-BJD announced Jogesh Singh as its party candidate for the upcoming general election in Sundergarh Assembly constituency, local BJD leader KusumTete resigned from the primary membership of the party today.

"Party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik granted me ticket to contest polls from Sundergarh Assembly constituency and I worked dedicatedly as per the directives of the party leadership. But after working like a 'servant' for last five years, I received nothing. CM Naveen had even promised to field 33 percent women candidates but it also turned out to be false.
