India, March 21 -- Bhubaneswar: Former Aul MLA Devendra Sharma breathed his last on Friday, while he was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. The news was shared by the former legislator's daughter Debasmita Sharma.

He was a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress and had actively contributed to Odisha's political landscape.

Sharma served as an MLA from 2014 to 2019, representing the Aul constituency. His demise has left a void in the political fraternity, with leaders and supporters mourning his demise.
