Bhubaneswar, Dec. 16 -- At least four people were killed and 25 others injured in a massive collision involving seven buses and three cars on the Yamuna Expressway early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 4:30 am on the Agra-Noida stretch near Mathura, officials said.
Preliminary reports indicate the victims were tragically charred to death after the vehicles caught fire following the severe multi-vehicle crash. Police attributed the disaster to heavy fog and extremely low visibility.
SSP Mathura Shlok Kumar stated that the pile-up was initiated by three cars colliding, which were then rammed by seven buses, including six sleeper buses. "The vehicles caught fire after the collision," he said.
