Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- Amid the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan following total take over by the Taliban, millions of women in the country are glaring at an uncertain future.

Soon after the nation fell to the Taliban, uncertainty shrouded over the future of the Afghan girls and women as they fear that they might lose their freedom to education, work or take part in political, economic and social life.

"Afghan women toned back to 20 years behind and that is the reality. Try to protect what we have achieved in the last 20 years in the country. Women's education should be allowed. We don't deserve a situation like this," said an Afghan-origin girl student studying in Delhi.
