Bhubaneswar, Jan. 10 -- Odisha Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra on Friday requested the farmers of the State not to bring extremely lower quality paddy to the mandis for procurement purposes.
According to the Minister, the government will provide Rs 3,100 per quintal of fair average quality paddy. He further said that the farmers were misinformed that they would be provided Rs 3,100 per quintal of any quality of paddy.
"Though the quality of the paddy has been affected due to the unseasonal torrential rain, the government will procure the produce.
