Two trucks allegedly carrying large quantities of explosives under suspicious circumstances were seized near Balighat petrol pump under Raghunathpali police limits in Rourkela City of Odisha's Sundargarh district on Sunday, intensifying tension in the region.
The seizure comes in the backdrop of a Maoist-related blast material heist just a few days ago in the district.
According to sources, more than eight tonnes of explosive materials were found in the two trucks. Local police, Mining department officials, and GST authorities have rushed to the site and began investigating the contents and origin of the trucks.
