Bhubaneswar, Dec. 22 -- Former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA from Jajpur, Pranab Balabantaray, has come under administrative scrutiny after the local tehsil issued a notice to him in connection with the alleged encroachment of government land for the construction of a farmhouse in Gadamadhupur mouza under Dharmasala tehsil in Jajpur district.

According to sources, the notice was issued based on a field report submitted by the Revenue Inspector (RI) of Talgada circle, which reportedly identified unauthorised occupation of government land linked to a farmhouse.

Following the report, the Dharmasala tehsil office has directed Pranab Balabantaray to appear in person or through an authorised representative and submit his explanation.
