Bhubaneswar, May 18 -- Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed concerned authorities to ensure correct information on patients' health status shared with their relatives and adherence of social distancing norms at vaccination centres across the State.

Following a review of the present Covid-19 situation in the State, Patnaik said, "The situation in Odisha is under control. The number of recoveries is more than the daily infections."

"The government has decided to extend the lockdown for two weeks to arrest the spread of the virus. The rate of infection has slumped in many districts due to the lockdown and awareness among the people," Patnaik informed.
